Whatsup Shonen Soda Fam,
To begin with, the term "Shonen" translates to "young boy" or "youth" in the Japanese language. The inspiration behind naming my soda brand "Shonen Soda" stems from a childhood dream. Growing up in Japan, I was surrounded by many varieties of soda flavors and delightful treats. As a young boy, I had an incredible love for these sodas.
Upon relocating to California, I was taken aback by the limited soda flavor options available in the U.S. compared to what I was accustomed to in Japan. This observation reignited my childhood aspiration of crafting my own soda. My aim was not just to fulfill a personal dream but also to introduce the West to the unique and diverse soda flavors from my youth in Japan.
The name 'Shonen' not only reflects my personal journey and dreams but also pays homage to the iconic Shonen manga genre, which has been a significant part of Japanese pop culture and has influenced many around the world.
I believe that flavors have the power to transport us to different places and times. With Shonen Soda, I hope to take you on a nostalgic trip back to the streets of Tokyo, where every sip tells a story of childhood dreams, adventures, and the endless possibilities of youth.
