Elderberry Creme caters to those who prefer a sense of elegance and novelty in their beverage endeavors. With a fruity forefront and floral fragrance, the Elderberry Creme is a favorite of many. In my opinion, elderberry has a slight taste of a grapefruit unified by subtle notes of creme. Some people describe the elderberry/elderflower flavor profile as fresh, fruity, slightly floral with subtle pear, and tropical nuances.
Elderberry, also known as Sambucus, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Adoxaceae. In folk medicine, the dried berries or juice were used to treat influenza, infections, headaches, dental pain, heart pain, and nerve pain. Nowadays, Elderberries are often used in supplements, food, beverages, lotions, and even food coloring. Although the Shonen Elderberry Creme does not contain any of these functions, it has both the Elderberry and Elderflower flavors. Elderberry and elderflower come from the same plant, although they have different properties.
